The field of Prosthetics and Orthotics deals with physically challenged people. Particularly, it deals in designing of artificial limbs. There are various colleges in the country which are offering Bachelor of Prosthetics and Orthotics. This branch is also called as Medical and Therapeutic Footwear, Braces and Splints, Calipers, Bionic Limbs, Artificial Limbs, Supportive and Ambulatory Devices and Braces & Splints. It is a course of 4 years.

Eligibility

Candidates must have passed class 10+2 examination are eligible to apply for the respective course. They must have passed class 12th from one of the recognized boards of India. The candidates must have studied Physics, Biology and Chemistry in class 12th. They must have obtained at least 50% marks in class XII. Thus, candidates who are from Science stream can only apply for this respective course.
