CENTAC 2018 is going to be conducted for the admission in the undergraduate courses of engineering, pharmacy and much more. The Government of Pondicherry conducts CENTAC every year. The Centralised Admission Committee (CENTAC) is conducted the admission procedure into various courses. The interested candidates will not go through any kind of entrance exam. The candidates will get admission in the universities on the basis of the performance in the examination of class 12th. So, fill the application form online before the last date.

About CENTAC 2018

CENTAC 2018 will publish the notice for the admission in many undergraduate courses of professional programs. The candidates get admission after applying for CENTAC 2018. The candidates will get admission in UG courses in the disciplines of pharmacy, engineering etc.  The candidates will get admission in the courses of B. Tech, MBBS, Bachelor of Pharmacy, B. Sc. Horticulture, B. Sc. Agriculture, BPT, BA LLB, B. Sc. Nursing, BDS, BAMS.

Application Form and Fee

The candidates who are interested in taking admission in the I year of professional programs have to fill the application form. They will get admission for the session of 2017-18. The mode of application is only in online mode. The candidates can apply online on www.centaconline.in. The application form must be filled before the last date to apply. After submitting the online application form, the candidates need to take print out of application form. It is important to take the print out of application form as the hard copy of the application will be sent to the CENTAC office. The hard copy of the application form will be sent to the following address:

The CENTAC office will not hold responsible for any postal delay of the hard copy of application form. The candidates must send the following documents along with CENTAC application form 2018:

  • Class X mark sheet

Eligibility Criteria

The CENTAC is inviting applications from the candidates who passed the class 12th.

  • He/she must be the Indian Citizen.

Age limit

The candidates must fulfill the following age criteria to get admission through CENTAC 2018:

  • The candidates who want to apply for the course of BAMS must have the minimum age of 17 years as on 1st October 2018.
  • The minimum age of the candidates for getting admission in the course of B. Tech. is 21 years as on 1st July 2018.
  • The candidates have reserved category will have an advantage of the relaxation in the terms of age. They will have relaxation for three years.

Syllabus and Pattern

There will be no entrance exam for CENTAC 2018. The admission will be done through the performance of candidates in 10+2. The marks obtained by the candidates in senior secondary class will be taken into account for getting admission in the various courses. After completing the application process, the merit list will announce.

CENTAC 2018 Merit List

The authorities will publish the merit list for the admission after completing the admission procedure. For every course, different merit list will be published. The merit list will be prepared on the basis of the evaluation of class 12th marks of the applicants. After the release of the merit list, candidates have to check it online. For checking the merit list and their status of admission, candidates will go to the official website of CENTAC.

  • Vertical Reservation:
    • ST: 16%
    • Backwards Tribes: 1%
    • Extreme Backward Classes(EBC): 2%
    • Most Backward Classes(MBC): 18%
    • Backwards Classes Muslim: 2%
    • Other Backward Classes: 11%
    • General Category: 50%
  • Horizontal Reservation:
    • Meritorious candidates in sports: 1%
    • Physically challenged: 3%
    • Grand Children/Children of freedom fighters: 4%

Counselling Process

The counseling will start after the declaration of merit list. It will be in offline mode. The candidates will also go through the process of document verification. But during the document verification, the candidates will bring all the original documents. As per the merit order, the candidates will have to counsel. The counseling fees will be paid through online mode. The schedule of counseling will get published in the local newspaper along with the website. The candidates can check the schedule on the official website too. During the counseling, the candidates will be allotted seat in their respective courses.
