About GATE 2019

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an examination that the comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in engineering and technology, and science. Every year many students are appearing for the test last year approx 8 lakh or above these students appeared in the GATE Exam 2018, the annual number of test takers is 820,890. GATE Entrance Exam was started in 1984, GATE is conducted by Seven Indian Institutes of Technology for Post-graduate Engineering admissions, screening for entry-level engineering jobs. Once every year GATE will be conducted.

GATE Application Form 2019

GATE Application Form 2019 all Information is as under:

Students apply for application form 2019 through online only.

  • GATE application form 2019 shall be started from the starting of September 2018.
  • The application form shall end on the first week of October 2018.
  • In the approx one-month application process is completed and the organization Authority will provide the time period for the completing the process.
  • Applicants can apply for the GATE 2019 application form via Online this process is called GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS).
  • Applicants can register as a “New User”.
  • After the registration, they can apply for the GATE online application processing system (GOAPS).
  • Then after, candidates are log in using GOAPS registered ID and GOAPS Password.
  • When entering the details in the application form, applicants are also uploading scanned photograph, signature, thumb impression, degree certificate or caste category certificate of candidates.
  • The International applicant can also apply for the GATE Entrance Exam; they are eligible for the test.
  • GATE 2019 will be organized in Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Nepal, Singapore, Sri Lanka and the United Arab Emirates.
  • Application procedure/process is same for international applicants as Indians.
  • The International applicant must have a valid passport for applying.

GATE 2019 Eligibility Criteria

There are various factors of eligibility which are under the eligibility Standard of GATE 2019 Entrance exam. The applicants who want to appear in the GATE entrance exam must fulfill these GATE eligibility standard otherwise applicant application for GATE application will not be allowed.

GATE 2019 Age limit

There is no upper age limit and the aspirants are eligible after complete the Bachelor Degree and also students are eligible which are waiting for the result of the bachelor. No age limits are for the GATE Exam 2019.

GATE 2019 Syllabus & Pattern

The student can download Previous 10 years solved question paper of GATE. The coaching institutes are providing guess solved paper of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Bio for upcoming Engineering Entrance Exam 2019.

Syllabus

GATE is held for 23 papers. Syllabus for each stream is different. Students must know the whole syllabus that their choice of the stream for preparation, and for more effective preparation students must know the very important topic. The candidates can download the whole syllabus from official website the syllabus in the PDF of GATE 2019 syllabus for AE, AG, AR, BT, CE, CH, CS, CY, EC, EE, EY, XE, GG, IN, MA, ME, MN, MT, PE, PH, PI, TF and XL disciplines.

GATE 2019 Exam Pattern

GATE entrance exam 2019 pattern is as under for candidate’s consideration, For each discipline syllabus will change and somehow the pattern will be different.

Course: GATE is organized for the M.Tech./Ph.D. programs in IITs, IISc, and various other reputed institutions.
Number of Papers: GATE 2019 is held for 23 papers. The applicant can appear in one of the 23 papers only one of the 23 papers.
Mode of Examination:  online (CBT).
Exam Duration: 03:00 hours.
Number of Questions: Total number of question is 65 of maximum 100 marks will be asked in GATE 2019.
Type of Questions: In the GATE Entrance Exam 2019 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) & Numerical Answer Type Questions (NAT) will be asked. For MCQ, 4 options will be available in the MCQ and no options are available for NAT. Candidate should enter the real number in Numerical Answer Type Questions with the help of virtual keypad.

Common Section in All GATE Papers: General Aptitude (GA) section will common in all papers. It will contain total 150 questions of maximum 15 marks (5 questions contain 1 mark and 5 questions contain of 2 marks).

Marking Scheme: MCQ and NAT questions will contain 1 or 2 marks in papers.

Negative Marking: There will be a negative marking of 1/3 marks for the questions which is containing 1 mark. and, for questions which contain 2 marks deduct 2/3 marks from the total number of marks. No negative marking for Numerical Answer Type questions.

GATE 2019 Admit Card

The applicant can download the Admit card from the GOAPS official website. Admit card is not sent by the organisation authority; admit card will not be sent through email/post. The successfully registered applicant will be able to download the GATE 2019 admit card expected in the starting week of January 2019. The student should take the printed copy of admit card, the applicant also needs to keep one id in the examination hall.

ID proofs are

Passport, PAN Card, Voter ID, Aadhar UID, Valid College ID, Employee identification card or Driving License. From international students, only valid Passport/ Government issued ID/College ID/ Employee ID will be accepted as ID.

GATE 2019 Answer Key

GATE 2019 answer key will be declared by the organization authority after the examination. The exam will end in the mid of February 2019(Tentatively). The IITs, IISc, IISERs authority will provide the answer key; answer key is different for each discipline. Through the answer key candidates can check the probable marks that they obtain in the GATE 2019.

GATE 2019 Result

GATE result 2019 will be released on the GATE official website. Result 2019 will be declared in the last of March 2019. Result 2019 will be declared after one month of Exam, GATE Scorecards will be provided for the applicant, who secure marks equal or more than the cut-off marks they can take admission in the IITs, IISc, IISER and another prestigious college.

GATE 2019 Score Card

The GATE 2019 Score Card is provided students who are qualified the GATE Entrance Exam which was valid until the 3 years from the declaration date of the result. Students can download the scorecard and get from the exam centre. GATE Score Card 2019 must keep at the reporting time of the GATE counselings 2019 and at the first time visit in the college in which you want to get admission.

GATE 2019 Cut Off

GATE Cut off 2019 is declared at the time of the declaring the result, Cut-off marks decide the applicant eligibility for admission in the postgraduate courses in IITs and IISc. The cut-off is a factor that decides that the students are qualified the GATE Entrance Exam or not. GATE 2019 cut off marks will be in different-different discipline or stream-wise and category-wise. The cut-off marks for reserved category applicant low than the unreserved category aspirants, for SC/ ST/ OBC are low cut-off and for General students, the cut-off is going to be high every year.

GATE 2019 Counselings

IITs will not provide the common counseling for admission into PG programs. GATE 2019 counseling process is conducted after the result is announced, counseling is in the section or round. The applicant can apply individually to the IITs when the admission notification is declared at the official website. NITs conducted the Centralized Counseling for M.Tech. / M.Arch./ M.Plan. Admissions (CCMT), it is conducted by NITs every year, and it is common counseling, is based on GATE 2019 scores.
