Eligibility For Karnataka TET 2018

The eligibility criteria for Karnataka TET 2018-2019 for both paper-I & paper-II is given below. The Karnataka TET 2018 Paper-I is for the recruitment of Primary Teachers (Class 1 to 5) and the Karnataka TET 2018 Paper-II is for the recruitment of Upper Primary Teachers (Class 6 to 8). Educational Qualification for Primary Teachers (Class 1 to 5) Educational Qualification for Upper Primary Teachers (Class 6 to 8)
  • The minimum qualification required for the Primary Teachers is Intermediate (Class 12) with 50% marks (45% for reserved categories).
  • Candidates must have passed Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.Ed) or Bachelor of Elementary Education with at least 45 – 50% of marks.
  • Candidates pursuing final-year D.EI.Ed/ Bachelor of Elementary Education are also eligible to apply for Karnataka TET 2018.
  • The minimum qualification required for Upper Primary Teachers is Bachelor’s degree (B.A/ B.Sc/ B.Com/ B.Tech/ BBA etc.,) with at least 45% – 50% of qualifying marks.
  • The candidates must have passed Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.Ed)/ Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) to be eligible for the post of Upper Primary Teacher.
  • Candidates pursuing final-year D.EI.Ed/ B.Ed are also eligible to appear for Karnataka TET 2018.
