Eligibility Criteria for NTA UGC NET 2019
Candidates can check here the National Eligibility Test 2019 Eligibility Criteria. All the candidates going to apply for NTA UGC NET 2019 Exam they must check their eligibility status before applying. The upper age limit for applying NTA UGC NET Exam 2019 is 30 years as on 1st January 2019 and five-year relaxation in age limit for (OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PWD, and women).
- Qualifying Exam: Candidates should have the Master’s degree, Ph.D. or equivalent from a UGC recognized university. Students who are going to appear for the final semester of master degree can also apply.
- Relaxation: The 5% of relaxation for Ph.D. degree holders. Such candidates should have the Master’s degree examination which should be completed by 19th September 1991.
- Minimum Marks: Applicants must have at least 55% marks in PG and 50% marks for reserved categories.
Exemption (Eligibility for the Assistant professor)
- The minimum eligibility criteria for the Assistant Professors is NET/ SET/ SLET.
- For SET Candidates: Applicant who qualified the SET (held prior to 1st June 2002) are exempted from appearing in NET and can apply for the post of Assistant Professor anywhere in India, But they are eligible to apply for the post of Assistant Professor only in the Universities/colleges situated in the state from where they have cleared their SET.
- Students who passed the UGC/ CSIR JRF examination prior to 1989 are exempted to appear in the exam.
Fill Application Form/ Apply Online
The NTA UGC NET 2019 Online Application Form will be open on 1st September 2018 and the last date for filling the application form is 30th September 2018. All the eligible candidates can apply online and fill the online application form for NTA UGC NET Exam on or before the last date after checking their eligibility status. The National Testing Agency will invite the online application process and candidates have to upload the scanned passport photo and signature.
