Punjab TET 2018 Fill Application form Online

Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test is a state level test for such candidates who want to be a teacher in Punjab State and want to make the career in this profile after completing their graduation in any stream. The test is conducted under the guidance of State Council of Educational Research and Training, Punjab. The TET exam is a compulsory exam for the candidates those want this gov job. After passing PS TET, candidates will get the job of a teacher in Punjab State. Candidates who find themselves eligible for the eligibility test can apply for PS TET 2018 can fill the application form and fee on or before the last date of filling the application form.

Punjab TET 2018 Updates

The update on Punjab Teacher’s Eligibility Test 2018 is that all the teachers must have to pass the Teacher’s Eligibility Test. At present this rule is only for the government school teachers. But Human Resources Development of Ministry has strictly ordered the state government to implement this rule. Actually, the Central Government is working to increase the educational level of the students. Hence first, it is necessary to increase the qualification of the teachers including private school teachers.

Eligibility Criteria

Primary Stage – Class I – V

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum of  50% marks and 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education

OR

Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.

OR

Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

Elementary Stage: Classes VI-VIII

Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education

OR

Graduation Degree with minimum of  50% marks and passed/appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education

OR

Graduation with minimum of 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the Recognition Norms and Procedure of NCTE

OR

Class 12th with minimum of 50% marks and passed /appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

OR

Senior Secondary with the minimum of  50% marks and passed/appearing in final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed/B.Sc.Ed.

OR

Graduation degree with at least 50% marks and passed/appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)

Syllabus and pattern

All questions in the exam are Multiple Choice Questions. In the exam, each question will carry 1 mark. Each question will have four options in which only one option will be correct. For incorrect answers, there will be no negative marking. In the PS TET, there will be 2 papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2

  • Paper I: will be for those persons who wish to become a teacher for classes I-V
  • Paper 2: I will be for those persons who wish to become a teacher for classes VI-VIII.
  • Candidates who wish to be teachers for both the categories of a class will appear for both the papers.

All the section will focus on the teaching psychology of Age group of 6-11 years. The language I will be related to the medium of instruction chosen by the candidates. Language II will be from other than the Language I.

Qualifying Marks

The candidates who will score 60% marks will qualify as passed candidates. The relaxation of 5% is given to the reserved category.

Application Form and Fee

The candidates those want to appear in the PS TET 2018 eligibility test, needs to apply online by browsing its official website using URL which is as tetpunjab.com and then has to follow the simple steps:-

  • Online registration
  • Uploading of Photo and Scanned Signature
  • Payment of fees
  • Confirmation of examination fees
  • Confirmation

The application fees for paper 1/ Paper 2 is different for different categories. It is as follows:

  • General Category: Rs 600
  • OBC: Rs 600
  • SC: Rs 300
  • ST: Rs 300

It can be paid through online as well as offline mode.
